In Memoriam
New ASEAN Energy team is deeply saddened by the untimely death of our Director, Governor Bill Richardson.
Governor Richardson had a long and distinguished career, previously serving as the Secretary of Energy and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations during the Clinton administration, two time Governor of State of New Mexico, U.S. Congressman, and most recently, Chairman of the APCO Worldwide company Global Political Strategies.
Governor Richardson was active in numerous international ventures, always providing valuable guidance and introductions. He also left his mark as a hostage negotiator on behalf of the United States, and there were many who benefited from his efforts. For his work, as a diplomat and humanitarian, he was nominated four times for the Noble Peace Prize.
His preliminary work on behalf of NAE will continue to benefit the Company in the future, and we are very thankful for his valuable insight and guidance.
We extend our most sincere condolences to the family of Governor Richardson. His absence will be felt by us all, but his legacy will remain.
